Review on Mindvalley’s Adwords System Exposed - Part 1

In my previous blog post, I explained why I thought Google Adwords did not work for me. However, I was determined to crack the code on Google Adwords. I wanted to make it work, as I was quite certain there was a RIGHT way to do this. Thus, I began to search for my answers online.

Mvlabsbanner_2 One of the company that appeared frequently on my radar was Mindvalley. The name seemed to creep up whenever I ran searches on Pay Per Click and Google Adwords related terms. And it always came to this landing page that exceptionally caught my attention - “Why Almost Everyone Is Wasting Money And Getting Burnt With AdWords!”. The headline appealed to my emotion, the layout design was clean and easy to read, and credibility of the program was built on the fold itself (About the Authors section).

Of course, I read on, and again the copywriting appealed to me. I guess the fact that it was written in a convincing and credible way. This website was unlike all the one-pager sales pages I had seen in the past. This was different, and it looked like knew what they were talking about.

Why Google Adwords did not work for me?

In my quest to find a product to sell on the Internet, I also became attracted to the idea of utilizing Google Adwords as a way to advertise products on Clickbank.

Just like any other aspiring internet marketer, I signed up for Google Adwords and started advertising several products I found on Clickbank. The first product I promoted was a book marketing product. I would say that I was shooting in the dark at this point.

While Google Adwords was easy to use, easy to sign-up for and easy to set up, it is also easy to burn money with Google Adwords if you don’t know what you are doing. As the book marketing product didn’t sell, and there were not many clicks on my ads to begin with, I decided to promote products from other categories. I found 2 products to promote - 1) Signing for Babies 2) Cure Morning Sickness.

Again, I was unsuccessful. After spending about US$50 on Google Adwords, I started thinking - What did I do that was not right? I spent countless of hours researching through blogs and found several resources that were really useful.

What Sells Online: Clickbank!

If you are new to internet marketing, Clickbank is an affiliate network, similar to many of it’s competitors such as Commission Junction or PayDotCom. It is essentially a marketplace where:

  1. Affiliates seek for products to sell
  2. Publishers of products, post their products to attract affiliates

With over 10,000 products to choose from it would be difficult to sieve out the winners from the losers. Clickbank allows you to run a search for products based on Categories. You can also list products according to criteria such as popularity, $ earned per sale, gravity, % referred and total $ per sale. Of course, you can find out what all these means from the Clickbank website.

What is What-Sells-Online.com all about?

This is the million-dollar question everyone’s asking. With all the buzz on how easy it is to make money online, selling the right product does make THE DIFFERENCE in profits or losses. I’ve asked this question myself dozens of times in my quest to seek out the BEST PRODUCT to sell on online.

It’s been difficult. No one REALLY tells you what to sell on the internet. On the surface, everything seems like a good deal. Single-column online sales letters make each product and service look like guaranteed money-making machines. The truth is revealed when you have finally signed up as an affiliate for some products, promote them exhaustively, only to find that there is no demand.

You set up your store on Ebay.com, only to find that your product category is too competitive. There are too many competitors, and as a rookie, you can’t even qualify for "Buy Now". This means your product is listed last in the auctions listings. It’s worse when you have amassed an inventory of products, which you probably have to sell way below cost at the end.

The bottom line is - selling the RIGHT PRODUCT or SERVICE is one of the key online success factors. The question stil remains - How do you know what sells?
